28 years of experience in the mining and resource industry, starting in Canada in technical sales and moving throughout the USA, Australia, South America, and South Africa. A good part of Joe’s career was with the Orica Mining Services, where he held several managerial roles in their mining services division, Commercial Manager for North America, Vice President & General Manager for Orica Canada, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Technology and Commercialization and President, Orica Latin America in Chile. Joe also spent 2 years as Chief Operating Officer with Pacific Hydro in Australia, and then 6 years as Managing Director of BME in Johannesburg, South Africa. Joe currently resides in Denver, Colorado, USA.
In 2021, he started hydrogen Dynamics an advisory focused on green fuels, ammonia, and the explosives industry. His clients include global mining companies, explosive companies, private equity and investment banks.
Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Laurentian University in Canada and then later received his MBA from Edinburgh Business School in Scotland. In 2008, he attended the Leadership program at INSEAD Business School in Singapore and in 2010, Joe graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard.
